The Terminal del Norte is the bus station in the north of Bogotá. It is a new bus station that receives buses from the Terminal Salitre (the one in the center of the capital) that go to the north of the country: Tunja, San Gil, Bucaramanga, Santa Marta, etc. At the time of writing, some nearby towns, such as Chía, Cajicá, or Zipaquira, were still served by the chaotic "Portal del Norte" (Calle 170 con Autopista). The Terminal del Norte allows you to get out of Bogotá faster when you are based in the north of the city. It saves you an hour of driving.
