Culebra has only one town, Dewey. That you will have to pronounce "dou-yes" to be understood locally. All the facilities and main infrastructures of the island are located there. The town has a population of about 2,000 people and has a great elementary school, which is very modern with its ecological facilities. You can't miss it, just outside the town on route 251. Neither can you miss the many wooden houses on the water that give the place a Louisiana feel, mixed with the relaxed atmosphere of the Caribbean. Dewey is where the ferries from Fajardo/Ceiba drop off visitors.
