The fiestas of Calle San Sebastián are highly anticipated every year. They close the holiday season and the New Year. The San Sebastian street of Old San Juan is then taken by storm. From up close, this event looks like a carnival. The streets and bars are crowded, with many concerts. During the day, festival-goers parade, artists and craftsmen occupy the streets in a joyful atmosphere. The whole district becomes exclusively pedestrian.
