This is the most popular cafeteria in the neighborhood, for the ritual breakfast at a very affordable price. A must in old San Juan! It is impossible to ignore the star of the morning, the mallorca, a Catalan ensaimada, treated here in a special way: sliced, buttered or filled with cheese and ham, toasted and sprinkled with sugar. The coffee, produced in the large percolators behind the bar, is easy to drink, especially with milk. You can also try a tres leche or a tembleque. On the spot or to go.
