AUTORIDAD METROPOLITANA DE AUTOBUSES (AMA)

Public transportation outside the San Juan metropolitan area is very limited. AMA buses serve the main neighborhoods of San Juan. The bus stops are called "paradas". Signs indicate which buses stop there and the supposed schedule (never followed). Routes are defined by a number. Do not take into account the letter that precedes it. For example, A21, T21 and simply 21 are the same route.
