SANTUARIO DE LA VIRGEN DE LOS TREINTA Y TRES

The Virgen de los Treinta y Tres Orientales, the protective mother of the country's liberators, is visited every year by pilgrims from all over the country. Inside this cathedral, which was founded in 1894, you can admire a small statue of the Virgin carved in cedar wood, which dates from 1750. On the second Sunday of November, the procession gathers thousands of people to attend the mass proclaimed in her honor.
