It is the wild and solitary character that constitutes the particularity of this place. The pines here extend right down to the beach. Fishing is excellent and abundant, and it is possible to camp here even if there are no facilities. The town is located on Route 1 at km 72, in a forested area at the corner of the Río de la Plata and the Sauce River. It is not recommended to access it without a car, as the area is not easily accessible on foot. In November 2022, a hydraulic infrastructure project was approved by President Lacalle Pou despite strong opposition from local residents.
