EXPRESO POCITOS

This iconic café is located on the first floor of the famous Art Deco building El Mástil, erected in 1930. Although it may look ordinary, and even rather ugly, the building was originally one of the first high-rise buildings in the Los Pocitos resort. It is an excellent example of Montevideo's Nautical architecture and is part of the American style known as "Streamline" or "Liner Style". The café serves sandwiches, pastries, salads, meat and fish dishes and ice cream.
