The Gams Arts and Culture Festival is a festival that puts art and culture in the spotlight. In June or September, depending on the year, the streets of Windhoek become the temple of contemporary culture. Art is outside the walls, music is in the air, plays come out of the theaters, and movies are shown in the open air. The country's artists present their latest creations to the general public as well as to travelers passing through.
