The German airline Lufthansa has joined forces with EuroWings to operate the weekly route between Windhoek and Frankfurt. This route was previously managed by Air Namibia, which is now in liquidation, partly due to this unprofitable route. Eurowings is now taking over the route, but this situation is likely to change depending on the bi-national agreements and the recovery plans of the Namibian national airline. In the meantime, the service provided by Eurowings is quite good, with a very friendly welcome.
