PARISH CHURCH OF SAN AMBROGIO

Church famous for a fresco representing a Last Supper based on the model of Leonardo da Vinci's that he made in 1495-1498 for the refectory of the church of Santa Maria della Grazie, in Milan. This Last Supper, although not at the level of the Italian master, is nevertheless of great quality and would be the most beautiful copy of the work. Its author remains unknown. It is believed to have been made during the 16th century, certainly before 1550. Its restoration pays tribute to its balance.
