A tiny palm grove dominated by a ruined ksar, it was abandoned in the th century for rezzous. It reborn in 1941 with the exploitation of the saltworks, the product of which was transported free of charge to Agadez thanks to the military trucks who came to the recent position of Dao Fielded, a possible bulwark against the incursion of the Italian Italians. A military post was installed there, including a crossroads for trucks to Libya. There is a school, a clinic and a repository of essential medicines. Some saltworks are vaguely exploited and it is surprising to find the shallow water (1 m) in the village where the houses are made of grey clay blended with salt. The Zoumri peak, sugar bread planted in the middle of the sands, overlooks the Cuvette toilet when it is approached by the south.
