CAVE OF SEVEN DORMANTS
An extraordinary chaotic rock chaos made this natural site a popular pilgrimage site of Azerbaijanis. It is said that in these caves, seven newly converted Muslims to Islam and tracked by the inhabitants of the region would have hidden and slept for three centuries before waking up. By going to buy something to eat at the bazaar, one of seven dormers is being accused by the local population of using a long-disappeared currency. Discovering their layer and their miraculous sleep, the population immediately converts to Islam. The cave where the shapes of their bushes remain is the subject of a great veneration. It is accessed by staircases on both sides of which benches and small tchaikas promote breaks on the route. Azerbaijanis like to come to the family, to picnic in the sun or in the shadows, taking advantage of the mix of rocks.
