COOPERATIVA BONTCHE

Housed in a building at the back of a school courtyard, the Bontche association aims to promote the integration of women of all ages into society through training in sewing, traditional weaving, dyeing, batik and even crochet. It is run by Ivone Gomes, a disabled volunteer educator who is fully committed to empowering Guinea-Bissau women. Here you'll find clothes and accessories made from African fabrics, including bags, wallets, skirts and shirts. Great gifts for a good cause.
