These waterfalls are the most beautiful in Upper Guinea, on the Baoulé River. Embedded in a narrow dolerite gorge, they rise from the top of their 80 m in the form of two waterfalls. Large slabs at their top form an ideal platform for a picnic with a view. They are located 30 km from Banankoro. We pass a bridge, then the police roadblock on the right (the left track joins the road to Kissidougou). At the traffic circle, continue straight ahead towards the mining town. We stay on the main track until the sign indicating the mining city on the left. Then turn right towards the roadblock. After the police roadblock, leave the big track which continues on the real roadblock and take the small track on the left, then on the right towards the village of Damaya (3 km from the junction) which we cross. Stay on the main track, until a big junction (2.8 km further), take on the right. Still 4 km and to take on the left to avoid the small village of researchers of diamonds. We leave the car 1 km farther to go down to join the river on the right. The waterfalls are a little below; it is necessary to follow the river on 50 m to discover their top. Along the track, the "diamond hunters" are numerous, and it is thus easy to ask for your way, the site of Kamarato being well known by the locals: this bottleneck is very favorable to the concentration of diamonds in the river bed.
