DIOCESAN MUSEUM (MUZEUM DIECEZJALNE)

The diocesan museum is nestled behind the cathedral in an old house that has belonged to the church since its construction in 1524. Established in 1888, it presents a fine collection of religious art objects - most of them dating from the Middle Ages - and paintings on glass. The most valuable object in its collection is the original altar from the church of St. Leonard, in Lipnica Murowana, preserved here to preserve it from the passage of time.
