ST. ROCH'S CHURCH (KOŚCIÓŁ CHRYSTUSA ŚW. ROCHA)

Built from 1927 onwards, and completed in 1946, this gigantic church is dominated by an 8 m-high steeple. Its style is avant-garde, massive and bare, straight out of the 1930s. The interior, on the other hand, is not very spacious, and has an original octagonal shape. During the Soviet period, the question arose as to what to do with this monumental edifice, and for a long time there was talk of building a circus there, but it was never installed.
