An amazing site on the heights surrounding La Esperanza (beautiful views of the valley of Azacualpa), near the El Cedral (2 045 m altitude), made up of distinct deep cylindrical holes with a diameter of about 80 cm each, in the middle of dense vegetation (beautiful ferns). We do not really know what use these holes were intended for, perhaps were obsidian mines in the pre-Columbian era (this mineral abounds in the corner) or then shelters in wartime (for food or for men). Some attribute them to the aliens, just as it is… To get there, the best is to walk. Take a little more than one hour's climb (nice, go back to the back!) via El Tabor, Quiaterique and the Los Olivos Public School. Ask for your way as frequently as possible, and do not hesitate to have a young child accompanied by a young child, of course. Take care of the site itself: The vegetation is exuberant and the holes deep enough to go down! Don't leave the trail if you don't know where to go.
