CARNAVAL DE SAN MIGUEL

For over fifty-five years, a carnival is organized in honour of the patron saint of the city of San Miguel, La Virgen de la Paz (Señora de la Paz). It is one of the most important manifestations of the country. It's time to celebrate at the rhythm of the bands, parades that parade through the best girls in the region who dream of being the queen of the carnival. On the street, tens of thousands of people play and dance on reggae, samba and funky merengué. The party is also on plates with a gastronomic fair.
