The establishment is situated on the edge of a precipice and therefore the view of the valley below and the surrounding mountains is breathtaking. The characteristic sugarloaf-shaped peak is recognizable from the painting by J.-C. Dahl's painting in the National Gallery in Oslo. The historic hotel, a small wooden castle with turrets and pointed roofs, has unfortunately been replaced by an imposing modern building with 124 bright rooms. The hotel has its own museum of old Norwegian houses.

Un superbe hôtel avec vue splendide
Un hôtel de caractère avec un petit musée dans l'entrée. Cet hôtel surplombe le Naeroydalen. La vue est magnifique.
