Since Nouakchott, the landscape, which is somewhat austere, has been diversifying somewhat, about kilometres before arriving at Kiffa. The oasis of Djoûk can be a refreshing stop to spend the night with the beautiful star. The trail runs along the cliffs of the Tagant to the north and the Bellâr to the south. There is a little tar to cross the Passe pass, beautiful but dangerous. From Nema to Nouakchott, that is to say, in the direction of descent, it often happens that truckers lose control of their vehicle because of heated brakes. A few kilometers further, another oasis, bigger, Kamour. To have a superb view of the oasis, do not hesitate to climb one of the headlands surrounding it, even for the most sporty, the biggest rock piton that overlooks it. The latter is easily spotted by stones painted in white, approximately half-height. From here you have a magnificent overview of what an oasis is, surrounded by dunes and pebbles. 50 kilometres before Kiffa, Guérou is nestled between the Tagant plateau to the north and the El-Açâba mountains in the south. Douerid is the last oasis before arriving in Kiffa.
