At 1 hour drive by 4x4 from Kasanka National Park, this small lake allows a refreshing stop away from any civilization and even to swim. There is a small camp (with 2 chalets and a more than rudimentary camping site) held by a very friendly local family, who will take care of heating the water for the showers. On the other hand, you will have to bring all your provisions and your drinking water reserve, there is nothing to buy on the spot. Try to confirm this before dipping a toe, but swimming in the lake is in principle safe (no crocodiles or bilharzia).
