BENEDICTINE ABBEY OF ADMONT

This magistrale abbey nestled at the foot of the Styrie Mountains is very iconic, with its location on the edge of a water plan, dominated by snow-capped summits in winter. This Benedictine monastery founded in 1074, mainly Baroque now, has an incredible library, which is the world's largest monastic library! Completed in 1776, it has a extant rococo interior and brings together more than 180 000 works including some 1 400 manuscripts and 530 incunables (th century printed book, the first European printing technique invented by Gutenberg).
