CASTLE SANKT GEORGEN (SCHLOSS SANKT GEORGEN)

The castle's history is linked to the Teutonic Knights, who once lived in the^13th-century fortified castle. The present castle dates from the 16th^century , but underwent many alterations in the 17th^and 19th^centuries . Its^16th-century Sainte-Isabelle chapel features a beautiful altar. Outside the castle, the Sankt Georgen am Sanhof church is yet another example of the mix of Romanesque (exterior) and Baroque (annex and interior decoration) styles.
