At 3,798 m, the Grossglockner is the highest mountain in Austria. From the road, there is an extraordinary panorama with a view of the Pasterze, which is the largest glacier in the country. There is also a beautiful view of the lake of Zell am See. You are on the road from Zell am See to Lienz in Osttyrol. To use this road, you have to pay a toll per car. In winter this road is closed.

Très belle route à faire, éviter de le faire en plein milieu de journée beaucoup de monde. Il existe des possibilités de faire le trajet en bus (pas essayer). Il ne faut pas non plus y aller trop tard la température descend vite même en été ! Prévoir un pull et éventuellement un pantalon là haut. Les petites boutiques ou café ferme au alentour de 17h/18h donc attention si vous voulez prendre un café.
