Abbey where you can admire the Holy Crown of Austria, an abbey church with frescoes, a monumental organ and imperial chambers.
This abbey is home to the Holy Crown of Austria. Among its jewels, the abbey church and its frescoes, the monumental organ in primitive baroque style and the famous Verdun altar. This work, located in the Leopold Chapel, signed Nicolas de Verdun and completed in 1181, relates in 51 fire-gilded enamel panels the salvation history of the Old and New Testament. One can admire the medieval part of the abbey, the baroque imperial rooms and the sumptuous marble hall. The baroque wine cellars can be visited 36 m underground.

L'abbaye de Klosterneuburg s'inscrit dans le lot des grands et belles abbayes d'Autriche. C'est un véritable joyau à voir absolument, en particulier l'église abbatiale , son orgue, ses fresques. Son trésor, la couronne d'Autriche ajoute à son prestige. Les extérieurs, cours et jardins, offrent un espace agréable et une belle vue sur les environs. Visite à recommander vivement.
