We went here for lunch during our stay in Salerno and the manager/owner was very welcoming and took great care in describing each of the dishes. He explained everything was typical of the area and that they use fresh, local ingredients. We really enjoyed the food and hope to return by we fly home.

La formula di servizio di botteghelle 65 è differente dallo stile solito. Pochi piatti della cucina regionale, preparati superbamente con prodotti di eccellenza, che scegli dal bancone della salumeria che poi ti servono al tavolo. Olio in degustazione, pane buonissimo, cantina composta da una attenta selezione. Consigliatissimo. Per Noi è una ricorrenza frequente.

Abbiamo trovato questo posto per puro caso, cercando un locale che fosse aperto a pranzo fino alle 15. Entrati, ci è stato richiesto se avessimo prenotato, cosa che non avevamo fatto, proprio perché eravamo praticamente per strada ed avevamo avuto notizia dell'esistenza di questo locale neanche quindici minuti prima. Essendo solo in cinque, il proprietario ci ha trovato una sistemazione, per poi illustrarci con dovizia di particolari la tradizione dell'attività, i piatti del giorno ed i vini del territorio. È iniziato così il nostro pranzo, tra frittatone al limone, pasta con le melenzane e tagliere di salumi e formaggi misti, accompagnati dal vino aglianico della casa. Ho letto in altra recensione che il proprietario sarebbe un esaltato... Ebbene, mi esalterei anche io portando avanti un'attività più che centenaria, proponendo l'eccellenza dei prodotti locali, facendo cultura gastronomica vera e non artificiosa tipo pseudo gourmet, come invece tanti fanno, perdipiú al giusto prezzo. Insomma, posso dire di essere stato molto più che fortunato a trovare questo tempio dei gusti genuini, condotto con amore e professionalità da una persona davvero speciale.

Sono andato a pranzo con degli amici. Nonostante fossimo quasi vicino alla chiusura pomeridiana, ci hanno accolto benissimo e trattati anche meglio. Ottima la qualità dei prodotti che giustifica, probabilmente, il prezzo più alto rispetto ad altri locali simili. Non è un locale turistico, per cui consigliato.

Locale storico guidato sapientemente dal fenomenale oste Pino fine conoscitore di salumi,formaggi e vini dispensatore eccelso di consigli sui prodotti del territorio.Entri scegli quello che vuoi mangiare e bere e poi ti siedi e vieni servito.La cucina e' casalinga e verace.focacce casalinghe,paste al forno,polpette col sugo,baccala' e stupendi taglieri di salumi e formaggi a km 0 o quasi.Piacevole sorpresa sui vini che abbiamo molto apprezzato.
Della settimana passata a Salerno per ben quattro sere abbiamo mangiato da Pino quindi va da se' che lo.....Superconsigliamo!!!????????????

Absolutely delightful lunch!

This restaurant prides itself on offering authentic regional cuisine. The owner is clearly very proud of the selection and quality of food - and rightfully so! Everything was delicious.

The mozzarella served as part of the Caprese Salad was the best I had!

Un locale con una attenzione maniacale alla qualità del prodotto, grazie soprattutto al propietario Pino che con grande professionalità sa illustrare tutte le proposte nel minimo particolare.
Il tagliere che abbiamo assaggiato è stato uno dei più buoni mai assaggiati, con dei sapori unici.
Decisamente consigliato a chi è alla ricerca di salumi e formaggi tipici del territorio.
Degni di nota anche i dolci, molto originali.

Bottheguelle65 és el restaurant mes autèntic de la Costa Amalfitana.
Productes de qualitat i proximitat. Cuina casolana i boníssima.
El tracte es Excel.lent. El seu propietari es preocupa per donar-te bon menjar, tracte proper… impossible sortir d’aquest restaurant sense un somriure!

Really good choice in old town Salerno! Authentic, great selection of ham/cheese, very good caprese (even if in the whole region is speciality, here was better), prices are all right for quality. Recommend!!

We were very delighted to eat here! It Was very delicious and authentic. We took antipasti and caprese, and felt in love with all the delicious and fresh products. Atmosphere was very nice and service was great, we got a lot of attention. Price was very fare for this products. For sure we would come back!

Che bello entrare in un posto così pieno di cose buone. Sembra di entrare nella cucina della nonna. Il signor Pino , il proprietario, la prima volta non ti fa entrare subito in sala, prima ti spiega i piatti che sono pronti al momento in modo tale che se niente di quello che si è visto è di gradimento si può uscire tranquillamente. Ma come si fa ad andare via davanti ad una pasta con patate e provola, una pasta con le melanzane, un pasticcio di riso, polpette col sugo e mi fermo qui. Il tutto raccontato con grande passione dal signor Pino. Gentile, appassionato e molto competente. Se vi capita di andare a Salerno non mancate di passare da lì.

IMPORTANT: this is a small shop that offers local products, prepared according to tradition. Some foods are meant to be served hot, others cold or at room temperature. This is how Italians eat. If you want something that reflects your own culture or style of cooking, there are many touristic spots that cater to the needs of those who don’t care. Pino, however, has also created a sit-down area filled with beautiful local art the reflects ancient local legends and traditions. The cheese and cured meats will be thoughtfully accompanied. With jams and honeys and other treats. There are also cooked specialities that change from time to time. Ask for a sampling of Pino’s favorite items. Let him suggest a glass or bottle of wine. In the summer, please know that it is hot all over Italy and their electric grid does not handle ice cold air conditioning everywhere. Try to slow down, breathe, and enjoy this lovely place and be present to the ingredients and flavors and you won’t be disappointed.

This was my first meal while in Salerno and also my last before leaving. Pino understands the food that he is serving you like a good pilot understands their plane. He took the time to explain what we were having and where it came from with each course. I ate at about 35 restaurants on my most recent trip to Italy and Botteghelle 65 was both the most memorable as well as the highest quality and most delicious meal of the trip. I’ve been home for three weeks and my girlfriend and I are still discussing the charcuterie board as well as the eggplant dishes. I don’t write reviews often but I’ve run out of friend to tell about this experience. WOW, just WOW. Don’t change a thing, I will return to Salerno specifically to come say hello to Pino and eat this delicious and fresh food. Thank you Pino!!!!
