Archaeological museum consisting of the Roman villa of Positano with frescoes and mosaics of the Pompeian period
The Roman villa of Positano is considered the greatest archaeological discovery of the Amalfi coast in recent decades. Buried during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, it is now revealed, after lengthy excavation and restoration work, through a tour that allows visitors to discover its frescoes and mosaics from the Pompeian period. The villa is located below the church of Santa Maria Assunta.
