REPUBLIC SQUARE (NÁMĚSTÍ REPUBLIKY)

One could walk around without even noticing this small triangular square that marks the junction of the two parts of the old city. It is home to two of the city's most interesting museums: the Museum of Modern Art, housed in a beautiful Art Nouveau building, and the Museum of Civilization. The church of Saint Mary of the Snows dominates the square, beautifully decorated with frescoes. The Tritons' Fountain (1709, the work of the famous Vaclav Render) can be found on the square.
