AUSTERLITZ

There are still many aficionados of the great Napoleonic victory. Every year on the anniversary date, they put on the costume and participate in the reenactment of the Battle of Austerlitz, near Slavkov/Austerlitz (southern Moravia), under the Santon hill. This is one of the largest events of its kind in Europe, in which thousands of enthusiasts participate. You may even have the chance to set foot in France: the ground on which Napoleon had his HQ installed was ceded to France by the Czech Republic.
