To go to the village of Ivakino, you go to pretty small hamlets such as Borouchka, bordered by a small pine wood, or Soguilo (a name of Finno-Ugric origin). There, the time seems to have stopped for half a century. A carved solid well like lace, white curtains to windows… But the antennae on the roofs and motors of tractors in the fields bring us back to reality. We see in distant Ivakino. Behind a pond, the little church Saint Nicholas was built in 1798. The church Notre-Dame de Kazan, adjacent to St. Nicholas Church, dates from the mid th century, when the windows lost their baroque style frames.
