TURABEK-KHANIM MAUSOLEUM

Dated th century, it is considered the architectural pearl of Konye-Urgench. Its doors are in carved wood, its dome is covered with blue mosaics (products of recent restoration). The central piece is hexagonal shaped, surmounted by twelve closed windows and so many walled windows that represent the hours of the day. In the interior, the dome is impregnated with 365 pieces of crystal. And the four large windows on the ground represent the four seasons of the year.
