There is a 50 km long road linking Bassid to Savnob along the river. In the spring it is often blocked by flooding. Savnob is usually visited by Rochorf, which is 25 km by road and 12 km by trail. Savnob is a calm village of only 350 inhabitants, but the ruins of the citadel overlooking the river testify to a more turbulent past. The village and the citadel were completely destroyed during the earthquake in 1911. The village has two oaks, Khoudja Khrizr and Hozer Boch, and cave caves. A oston is located near the many sources of the zäg, a small alpage field located 15 minutes from the village towards caves. Walking along the path along the small bergeries, we arrive near stone columns. The elders used it as a calendar that, thanks to the position of the sun or stars compared to them, indicated seasonal changes and, in particular, the time of seeding. These columns, which are seen on several summits, strangely recall the stacks of stones in which Buddhist prayer flags are planted in the nearby Himalayan valleys of Ladakh and Zanskar. The inhabitants report a custom, no doubt ancient, that shows the honesty of the Bartangi. It is said today with a certain nostalgia that is not so far away where vodka bottles could be found. The following were frequently carried out: the bottles were deposited in front of the closed store or even on a trail halfway between two villages. Those who wanted to buy a bottle, just slipped the ticket under a stone, nobody was watching and nobody was flying!Shortly after Savnob, the road is divided towards Passor, Koudara, Karakoul Lake, Barchadif Lake and Lake Sarez.
