SANTUARIO DELL'ADDOLORATA

Initiated in 1890 according to the plans of Giuseppe Gualandi, this immense religious building with a dome stands very curiously in the middle of the countryside. With its fine and sharp roofs, it evokes the basilica Saint-Pierre or the Basilica of Sainte-Sophia. An important Catholic place of worship, it was erected on the site of the apparition of the Virgin Mary on March 22, 1888. The bells come from the famous Agnone Marinelli foundry. Inside, with six side chapels, the paintings of Amedeo Trivisonno and Marcello Scarano can be observed.
