COSTA DEI TRABOCCHI

The trabocchi are fishermen's huts raised on frail piles above the waves and connected to the mainland by wooden walkways. They punctuate the coast from Ortona to San Salvo and have become the symbol of the area. From San Vito Chietino, the coastline becomes more authentic, with rocky beaches, cliffs and ancient villages. You will be able to see the silhouettes of these wooden buildings, braving the waves along this coast which is not just a succession of private beaches planted with umbrellas.
