In the beautiful Palazzo Vallemani, a baroque residence with ceilings decorated with numerous 17th century frescoes, are the collections of the Municipal Gallery of Assisi. The gallery includes frescoes from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, from Assisi and the surrounding area, rescued from destroyed buildings. It is worth visiting for the works of Pinturicchio, Dono Doni, Pietro Perugino (known as Perugino) and especially the Maestà by Giotto.
