Museum located in the Casali Palace to find the paintings of the contemporary futurist painter Gino Severini born in Cortona
The Casali Palace (13th century) houses the Museum of the Etruscan and Cortona Academy (MAEC). Among other things, there is an amazing Etruscan bronze chandelier from the 5th BC, as well as the paintings of the futuristic contemporary painter Gino Severini, born in Cortona. Over an area of 2,000 m², a multitude of archaeological finds discovered in the region, the collection of the former Etruscan Academy and pieces of Roman art help to understand the city's evolution since prehistoric times.
