In the historic centre of Volterra, the address is elegant, beautifully rustic, and serves a quality cuisine. For an intimate meal, this is the place to go. It is the restaurant that comes to mind first when it comes to asking the inhabitants what is the best address in the city. Once served, it is easy to understand why. The dishes are generously generous, and paradoxically light. The sign of good food.

L'Ombra della Sera è sicuramente uno dei migliori ristoranti di Volterra e dintorni. Lo frequento da 13 anni e vi garantisco che ne vale la pena. La cucina è tradizionale, con una punta di creatività. I piatti sono ben eseguiti e presentati con cura. Gli amanti del tartufo, come il sottoscritto, troveranno soddisfazione con gli ottimi tagliolini al tartufo bianco o nero, la squisita crema di patate e tartufo e molte altre proposte. In stagione non mancano ovviamente i funghi. In occasione della mia ultima visita, ad esempio, ho gustato una notevole insalata di porcini freschi.

Completano l'esperienza un'accoglienza attenta senza mai essere fredda e un conto sempre onesto in termini di qualità prezzo.

Corso principale di Volterra. Posto raccolto, molto romantica e raccolta la saletta laterale. Menù molto ampio, due spaghetti scoglio e due pesci alla griglia, notevole quello di fondo. Prezzo equo.

Even if we were late for dinner, they accepted us. However stuff(young girl) was not polite and served a coke which we didn't request. Bread was not fresh, pasta was cooked as if it was raw. And they didn't serve any olive oil.

In gezellige straat van het zeer oude Volterra gegeten. Zeer vriendelijke bediening van eigenaar. Mooie rode wijn uit Bolgheri. Spaghetti Vongole was een topper.
