Sober, sophisticated decor for the café in Giorgio Armani's megastore. Beautiful breakfasts with a vast assortment of brioches and filled croissants. Much sought-after for business lunches, the place also fills up with fashionistas at aperitif time. Renovated five years ago, 19 years after its opening, this café lounge is divided between a cafeteria on the first floor and a more gourmet restaurant upstairs. A patisserie section completes the picture, with gourmet cakes made by a top pastry chef.

Für den Namen hätte ich etwas mehr erwartet. Das Personal war super. Das Essen und die Einrichtung war jetzt nichts besonderes. Könnten mal wieder renovieren. Innen und außen schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen.

The most disappointing Armani Restaurant I have ever been to. The reception was very rude and did not make me feel welcome at all. After I sat on a table and ordered my lunch I saw that others are getting the daily lunch specials offered. Apparently you only get the specials offered if you speak Italien. I am highly disappointed and would never go back. In any other Armani restaurant I was never treated that way. If I could leave 0 stars I would but unfortunately I have to leave at least 1 for the rating.

Being kicked out of a restaurant by a waiter (Cesare) is not something you would expect as you leave your coat on a nearby empty seats after having waited for 10 minutes for a table to be dressed. It is amazing to see how billions of investments in a brand and an organisation can be ruined by the "attitude" of one single waiter (Cesare, who incredibly behaved more like his namesake Roman emperor than an employee) who has not been trained and taught that the Client was King (rather than him being the Emperor)... U-N-A-C-C-E-P-T-A-B-L-E in any case, we could all vote with our feet and boycott the Armani Caffè, but I truly believe Mister Armanii deserves better people, and would demand that his team be fixed and people trained up to the level of his namesake Brand. Make sure you DO not go until then. Milan, January 14th, 2024
