This restaurant is located in an old post office agency dating back to the th century. A large winter garden surrounds it and hosts a terrace in summer. In winter, you can eat on old tables near three beautiful chimneys and light candles. Try the duck magret stuffed with foie gras, specialty of the Lomellina (region southwest of Milan, see heading "La Lomellina"). The wine list is very rich, with more than 200 Italian wines but also French.

Siamo andati a La Pobbia per una cena romantica. Entrando nel ristorante siamo stati avvolti da colori e profumi di una Milano ormai difficile da ritrovare. Accoglienza amichevole; menù semplice ed immediato, servizio di classe, ambiente elegante ma senza eccessi. Imperdibile per chi ama la cucina milanese. Consiglio caldamente: strozzapreti, tartare di carne, tortino con cuore di cioccolato; abbiamo accompagnato il tutto con un calice di buon Dolcetto. La cena che volevamo... con vista sul giardino. Se interessasse, c’è una discreta selezione di scotch whisky. E’ chiaro che il menù de La Pobbia è molto attento alla stagionalità dei prodotti; sono molto curioso di vedere cosa ci proporrà nella prossima stagione.

Fa parte della storia di Milano. Ed è gestito dalla stessa famiglia Anzaghi da decenni. Cibo e servizio impeccabili. Cucina rigorosamente lombarda per non dire milanese...
Peccato che le astruse norme comunali vietino l'utilizzo del camino che dava al locale un'atmosfera tutta particolare.
