CLUB ALPINO ITALIANO

The Club Alpino Italiano, or CAI, is an association of mountaineers and mountaineering enthusiasts that manages a number of alpine refuges and a large part of the trail network. The local chapters (there are 5 in Aosta Valley: Aosta, Châtillon, Verrès, Gressoney-la-Trinité and Saint-Barthélémy de Nus) organize alpine excursions and races, but do not provide the services of alpine guides. To do so, you have to contact the different guide associations on the territory.
