CHURCH OF THE DORMITION OF THE VIRGIN (НА НА БОГОРОДИЦА УСПЕНИЕ ПРЕСВЕТА)

This Orthodox church is dedicated to the dormition of the Mother of God (Црква Успение на Пресвета Богородица/Crkva Uspenie na Bogorodica). Located in the district of Novo Selo, it houses, on the first floor, a gallery of religious icons of the ^nineteenth century, which depends on the museum of Štip. The building is indeed very large. It is a basilica with three naves built between 1836 and 1850 according to the plans of the architect Andreja Damjanov, to whom we owe the cathedral church of Veles.
