MARCHÉ MUNICIPAL D'OHRID

This large, partly covered market (Градски Пазар/Gradski Pazar) is a legacy of the Ottoman period. It gathers mainly food vendors (fruits, vegetables, spices, etc.), but also butchers and fishmongers as well as clothing and souvenir stalls set up around the main hall. Here you can buy jars of ajvar, herbs for infusion, rakija or dried peppers. There is another, smaller market on Sirma-Vojvoda street in the modern part of the city, near the general hospital.
