Riomaggiore is a picturesque village in the province of La Spezia, Liguria. It's the first village you encounter when arriving in Cinque Terre from La Spezia. Dating back to the 13th century, the village is known for its historic character and the wine produced by the local vineyards. The village has a few roads where people stroll, but nightlife is mainly concentrated at the Bar Centrale. The Via dell'Amore is a path linking Riomaggiore to Manarola, also in the Cinque Terre. Riomaggiore is the southernmost of the five Cinque Terre villages, all linked by footpaths. The shores and mountains have been declared a national park.
