Statue of Neptune built in 1910 by Arrigo Minerbi in Monterosso al Mare.
This 14-metre-high (hence the name Gigante), 170-tonne reinforced-concrete statue of Neptune dominates Fegina beach. It was built in 1910 by Arrigo Minerbi, under the direction of architect Francesco Levacher, to support a terrace of the Villa Pastine, residence of the family of the same name. Bombed during the Second World War and seriously damaged by storms, it is now partially amputated: the god Neptune appears without arms and with only one leg. All that remains of Villa Pastine is a tower.

Nous n'avons pas pu contempler cette statue sculptée à même la roche car des filets et échafaudages la cachaient
