CASTEL MOOS-SCHULTHAUS

The first residential tower, built in the ^14th century by the Rottenburg family, underwent successive extensions with each change of owner: a hunting residence in the ^15th century, it then became a noble residence until the ^19th century. Its various architectural styles bear witness to its history. Of particular interest, however, are the Gothic murals decorating the interior: inspired by secular art, they depict hunting scenes, a "cat and mouse fight" and even a phallus tree!
