A museum that constitutes an introduction to the culture of this region of Benin, especially to guélédé societies. But the interest in the collection is really limited.

You can also see musical instruments and dance accessories, such as the sacred drums of Nikki and Porto-Novo, horns, cithares as well as ritual instruments used to interrogate Fa and weapons… Collections are very rich, but because of lack of space, one part is on reserve. We cannot tell you what will be displayed at the time of your visit.

Recommended for the gelded masks on the second floor. It is not so big but still it is worth to see these wooden masks dressed by yoruba people often with some ethical meaning.
The museum introduie by the exhibition "Born, Live and Die in Republic of Benin" customs people from Benin through the example of three cases of large groups sociocultural:
. Nago with its Guèlèdè masks
. Bètammaribé, architects of the famous "affected somba", which has a system wedding very complex
. Adja-Tado with its unusual funerary tradition
With a friendly and very experienced guide (required and included in the cost of entrance) you will learn from and see many different rooms.
For that I am not agreement with the sly little minx on its negative judgment ("deplorable, insulting, limited"). Beyond it should consider the limited paths and the lower entry fee of the museum.
