The market is huge and for this reason the guide brought me in Sunday to avoid too crowds. Still it was pretty noisy and chaotic as all African marked. Original leaves is the fetish market'if you can tolerate the smell of rotten head of leopards, monkeys, sharks, birds and so on. It is for tenacious stomachs and boat take pictures unless you pay.

A huge market, unmissable of Cotonou. Photographers are not necessarily welcome! ... Picturesque in devil, the edge of the lagoon.
" In general, we advise you only dating (E) to Dantokpa, the first time. Ask for one (E) polite [...] you accompagner" - This advice is major importance!
Without my companion I would be there always and still; -) You will get lost with absolute thing for sure.
But what a magnificent and memorable experience! Colours, smells, the shapes, noise, multitude of goods (even a skull of hippopotamus...).
Of course it is mandatory to bargain. I paid 6000CFA and 10000CFA for wax good which each have is enough for along, blouse and scarf with the Beninese fashion.
Do not let the occasion.
