This small restaurant is an institution, serving the same specialty since 1962: Saksang. Originating from the Batak ethnic group on the island of Sumatra, this traditional dish is prepared with pork meat marinated in ingredients such as coconut water, tamarind water or starfruit juice. Slow-cooked with a blend of batak spices including lemongrass, galanga, chili and tamarind, Saksang's flavor is often spicy. Expect to queue a little, as around 500 people flock here every day..
