Nage is a small, primitive, terraced village on a plateau, lost in the middle of the forest. The houses are made of bamboo and stone, and several families still live here. You won't disturb the locals, who are used to seeing orang putih (white men) passing through, and your visit won't disrupt their activities. Don't forget to bring a few presents for the children to show off: pens, sweets and balloons will be appreciated. After all, it's customary for visitors not to arrive empty-handed.Hidden 500 metres behind Nage, the village of Wajo is smaller, but just as charming and shady.
